The Free Down Jacket is the ideal jacket for everyone who heads out on a Free Tour even on the coldest of winter days, but still doesn’t care to freeze on the summit or descent. It is functional, ultralight and warm. Premium RDS-certified (“Responsible Down Standard”) goose down has been treated with DOWNTEK® to eliminate down’s sensitivity to moisture. Normally, when down comes in contact with moisture, it loses its loft and thus loses its ability to insulate. The water-resistant DOWNTEK® treatment allows down to maintain its density and loft to keep you warm. Not only that, the treated down is machine washable and dries much quicker too without losing its water-resistant property. Durable, highly breathable Primaloft® Gold insulation has been used for the lower part of the sleeves and on the sides – where the body produces a lot of sweat – as well as on the shoulders and hem – where high abrasion resistance is demanded.
